AI, Artificial intelligence, is a trendy word in nowadays. People like it because it can help with so many things that are very complicated for a human. It also represents the progress of human civilization.
William Alpine’s post dragged my attention the most. It explains how she/he treats artificial intelligence by telling a story from an “old” car perspective.
William’s post makes me think about: “Is artificial intelligence going to replace human somehow?” As we all can see, there is so much new stuff coming out: Autopilot, Unmanned hotel, and Boston Dynamic. And many big companies have already put robots and robot arms into their company. Indeed, AI brings a lot of convenience to humans, and they can also finish their work more efficiently. Is this really a good omen? I guess not.
There is a game called Detroit: Become Human. It narrates that In the future Detroit, Bionic robot is everywhere in the street, they look precisely like humans. A lot of protesters raise because of those bionic robots took their job away.According to some reports, the Unemployment rate of the United States in 2019 is between 3.5%-4%, which means that four people have no job in 100 people. Imagine if there will have thousands of robots come out and automatically prove that they are better than you in your specialized area. The result is more and more people will lose their job.
I’m not saying that Artificial Intelligence is terrible, I mean we have to use them properly. We cannot let them dominate human civilization.
