Rowan Nolan’s post this week introduces a piece of news that I have no awareness of. I know there is a cruise ship that was isolated in Japan and contained a lot of American People who are affected by the Coronavirus on the board. But what I’m not aware of is quarantine tactics aboard. It reminds me of how the Chinese government doing to isolating those sick people.
Within China, everyone is required to stay at home as much as possible without going out. If you walk on the street in China, you probably would a person, and many schools have also delayed the date of the start of school. Moreover, Chinese who are living in other countries is trying to protect themselves in the same way. They might wear a mask while they are out or using sanitizer and hand soap more often. These moves somehow provoke some Americans. Most of them believe that those Chinese who are wearing a mask are carrying virus, , but they don’t even care the people in white who is coughing near them. Chinese people now are bearing more racial discrimination than ever.
What I want to claim here is Chinese people won’t separate viruses, but human does. The only difference between Chinese people and American people is the color of skin. We should work together to prevent the virus from the area we all living in.
